Locally owned and operated, GMS Lazerworks has been servicing, troubleshooting and repairing printers, scanners, copiers and computers for 37 years. Our number one goal is always to get you up and running as quickly as possible, at a fair price.
Our story
How it all began
In 1989, George Simmons read an article in Entrepreneur Magazine on toner cartridge remanufacturing. Seeing an opportunity to provide a much-needed service in the Bay Area, George and his wife flew to Florida to be trained in the process. The business started in the family garage.
Customers soon asked, “Can you help with this too?” The answer was always yes. GMS added printer repair, then copier repair, scanner repair, fax machine service and computer repair, each one because local businesses needed it.
George still loves what he does. You can find him at the shop every week, helping customers troubleshoot problems.

When you contact GMS Lazerworks, we’ll do our best to solve the problem. If your equipment needs service, we can often dispatch a technician within hours, or you can bring it to our Novato shop. Our technicians are certified, trained on all types of repairs, and take pride in fixing it the first time.
We work on all makes and models, including HP, Canon, Brother, Epson, Xerox, Ricoh, Konica Minolta, Lexmark, Kyocera and Sharp, and we carry a full line of cartridges and toner.
